Here's the one and ONLY picture I was able to get of my two kids smiling and looking at the camera while standing together:

However, I've got an unlimited supply of pictures like these:

Separately, they are a little better at properly posing (but not by much):

Stella loves to paint and draw rainbows. Who could blame her? They are the best!

Today, Porter received his first positive office referral from school. These are hard to come by, so we're really proud of him!

What a special day! This morning, I had a strong desire to look up Psalm 91. In fact, I printed off 4 different versions (MSG, TPT, AMP, and GNT) of this Psalm to study over. The words brought great comfort to my soul.

A few hours later, Brian got home early from work and wanted to grab a bite to eat while the kids were still at school. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Bowling Green, Corner Bakery. Our order number was 91 as you can see from the picture above. I just believe this was a hug from Heaven!

My kids usually pose for pictures while we wait in the school drop-off line. Generally, Stella smiles and Porter grimaces. I have at least 50 pictures that look something like this:

At Least They Are Consistent

Stella laid out all of the cards she has received from her birthday and other occasions. She's got quite a collection!

Truth be known, our trip to Atlanta was a bit rough. Although there were several hiccups along the way, the worst happened last night as we were coming back from dinner. There was a large rock in the road that we unable to avoid, and it took out our tire. We planned to drive home this morning, but we have spent the majority of the day sitting in a tire repair shop.

Poor, Blu! She too got stuck waiting in the tire shop with us. We were all pretty happy to get home after this memorable (the nicest word I can use) trip.

Recently, Brian gave Blu a bath and then proceeded to blowdry her coat. The results were fantastic with Blu looking fluffy and soft. With this great accomplishment, Brian decided he was ready to take on Porter's hair. I will let the result speak for itself...

In celebration of the kids' birthdays, we headed to Atlanta, Georgia for this President's Day weekend. Of course, no trip to Atlanta would be complete for my kids without visiting LEGOLAND!

Stella does not like cake. She doesn't like cupcakes either, but she does like chocolate frosting! Here she is blowing out her birthday candle on the pile of frosting she's going to devour:

Stella's bedroom is decorated and ready to go! I can't wait until she gets home from school and sees her birthday balloons!

Due to work obligations, Daddy will not be home until after Stella goes to bed tonight. However, he still wanted to celebrate her birthday, so he took her out to breakfast before school. Stella chose her favorite breakfast place, Doug's Motor City, and the two of them had a great time!
