Porter is one loved baby! His Great Aunt Darleen and Uncle Len bought him a very special Christmas present this year... his very own train!

He absolutely loves it!

Playing in the Sand

This morning, Mr. Porter got to play in the sand. 

He loved finding and investigating the different seashells.

It's hard to believe that today is our final day in Myrtle Beach. We have had a wonderful time!

Our time down here has been full of many firsts. This was Porter's first trip out of state, he spoke his first words, his first top tooth has poked through, and as of last night, he figured out how to stand up in his crib!

Our little baby is becoming a little guy!

Porter's Beach Adventure

This afternoon we went to the beach for Porter to check out the sand and the ocean water.

Although the ocean is quite chilly right now, it was still fun to walk the shore with our little Bubbicans!

Porter just loves his daddy! I am a little sad to say this, but Porter's first word was officially, "dada." He started saying it on Thanksgiving Day and has repeated it constantly ever since.

However, Porter has said one "momma" this week, so life is still pretty good!

Myrtle Beach Playground

This morning was gorgeous! It was warm and sunny, and we thought this would be a perfect time to take Porter to the playground.

Brookgreen Gardens

Today, we went to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet. It is an amazing place! It has 9,200 acres with 350 sculptures, gorgeous gardens, and a zoo.

Thanksgiving 2010

Brian and I are a bit on the non-traditional side of the spectrum. While most families were preparing for a lovely feast on Thanksgiving Day, we loaded our little Civic up and headed for Myrtle Beach. Instead of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, our special dinner consisted of pizza and Yuengling while sitting on our hotel's balcony watching the ocean waves crash into the shore. The food may have been lacking, but we were thankful to get away from the daily grind and be together with our Bubby.

Porter the Puff Eater

Now that Porty is crawling, he can eat puffs (which are like Cheerios)! Although he gets way more on the floor than in his mouth, it's so exciting to watch him master a new skill!

Step 1: Carefully pick the puff you would like to eat.

Step 2: Insert into mouth.

Step 3: Be proud of your accomplishment!

New Milestone

Porter is officially crawling now! And just in time for Myrtle Beach... we're going to have our hands full!

Stuck

Porter loves to move! Today he wiggled himself under the living room accent table and got stuck! It was pretty cute!

Porter the Pumpkin

On Saturday, our neighborhood held its annual trick or treat bash.

Since Porter is our little, orange haired baby, we thought he would make a great pumpkin!

Porter had a blast!

He loved watching all the boys and girls as they got their candy.

Although Brian and I are not the biggest fans of Halloween, it was fun to dress Porter up and participate in this neighborhood pastime.

And Porter was definitely the cutest pumpkin on the block!

A Day at the Park

Today, we took Porter to Munroe Falls Metro Park. He seemed to love being outside and looking at all the fall colors.  Also, we just love the Smucker's outfit he's wearing!

After the park, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Gauder's for one of Kaye's famous smoothies! Yum!
