Plasma Car Racers

Porter and Stella just love their PlasmaCars! It also helps that we have the perfect driveway for PlasmaCar races! Check out the video below:

Planting Trees

Now that Ohio's warm weather is FINALLY here, we've been working in the yard as much as possible. One of the many projects on our list this year is to plant a few new trees. So far, Brian has planted two apple trees and one dogwood (as pictured below).

Of course, Daddy needs Stella's assistance in figuring out where each tree should be planted!

Summer Cut

Porter is now rocking his summer hair cut and looking good!

The Blessing of the Rototiller

This year, we have decided that we would love to have a garden that grows all sorts of gourds, pumpkins, squash, and painted corn for this fall. My dad has been gracious enough to GIVE us his crazy-big and powerful Troy-Bilt Horse rototiller so we could properly work the soil. This thing is AMAZING!

Porter and the Rototiller

While Porter was visiting with Grandpa this week, they actually serviced the rototiller so it would be able to start working right away on our garden. Here's Porter learning how to change the tire. I don't even know how to do that!

I am so excited to get this rototiller to our house and begin tilling! Thank you, Dad! This is such a blessing to us!

Birthday Treats from Bart & Lori

Our friends Bart and Lori certainly do love us! Due to our schedules, we weren't able to get together for either Porter or Stella's birthdays, but that didn't stop them from spoiling these two rotten! Check out the video below:

Sliding Good Time

This morning, we headed to Secrest Arboretum for some sunshine and fresh air. The kids were so happy to be out of the house and running around like little wild things!

It was so wonderful to see new buds on many of the plants. Spring looks to be finally here!

One of the most fun parts of Secrest Arboretum is the ginormous slide! The kids, and even their Daddy, loved going down it!

National Corvette Museum

Before heading home, we decided to get in one more stop on our Spring Break vacation and check out the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

National Corvette Museum

Brian has always had a love for cars and seeing all of these beautiful Corvettes was a great treat for him.

It was also really enjoyable to see some of the older Corvettes on display. There are some truly gorgeous cars residing at this museum!

Hotel Swimming Pool in Bowling Green

For our Spring Break vacation, Brian and I tried hard to give the children unique experiences. They explored Historic Bethabara Park, played at the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem, discovered new plants and animals at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Florida, splashed in the ocean and dug in the sand at New Smyrna Beach, and investigated the rocks and walls of Mammoth Cave.

With all of these incredible and educational experiences, one would think it would be difficult to chose a favorite... but not for my kids. What did they enjoy most on this trip? The answer is simple: Swimming at the Hilton Garden Inn's pool in Bowling Green. Well, at least we tried.

Mammoth Cave

For our last Spring Break vacation stop, we headed 11-hours to Bowling Green, Kentucky where we got to our hotel and crashed for the night. We were all beat-tired for a long day in the car.

However, after a good night's sleep, we got up in the morning and headed down the road to Mammoth Cave National Park.

None of my cave pictures turned out too well, but we did have a fun and interesting adventure.

New Smyrna Beach

If you're from Ohio and you're down in Florida, most likely a visit to the beach will be in your future! So this morning, we packed up all of our swim gear and headed to New Smyrna Beach located on the Atlantic coast.

New Smyrna Beach Babies

Porter was excited to jump into the ocean and play, but he was also pretty pumped to get digging and building in the sand.

Stella loved the sand and the water, but her favorite part of the beach was chasing seagulls. It was so cute!

Watch out, seagulls. Stella is coming to get you!
