In celebration of Brian's birthday, we headed to Niagara Falls for a family weekend. We were blessed to stay at Embassy Suites, a great hotel that not only overlooks the falls, but also sits right next to the Falls Incline Railway. This railway allowed us to travel easily back and forth from our hotel to the falls with a baby stroller, diaper bag, and all the stuff that goes along with traveling with small children. It was fantastic!
Brian and I were awestruck by the falls and could have watched it for hours. Of course, the kids were much more impressed with the hotel's pool.
Stella had her 15-month well visit today, and all was good. She is now 19 pounds and 14.2 ounces in weight (29th percentile), 2 feet and 6 inches in height (39th percentile) and has a head circumference of 45.5 centimeters (44th percentile). Our baby girl seems to be growing so fast.
On Saturday, our family headed south to Sugarcreek, Ohio for the annual Vintage Tractor Show.
Porter was very hopeful that he would be able to buy a tractor at this show. He took his money (a few coins he had in Daddy's car) and looked for the right tractor to buy. He found a few that he liked, but was utterly disappointed that 30 cents would not get him very far.
After the tractor show, we headed to the center of downtown Sugarcreek to catch a glimpse at the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock. It's beautifully made at 23 feet tall and 24 feet wide.
For my 32nd birthday, Porter (with some help from his Grandma Bev) made me some delectable chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles. Porter also reminded me, rather emphatically, of the importance of sharing. His argument was compelling enough that the two of us enjoyed the cupcakes together. They were delicious!
Welcome to our blog! Here you will find the adventures of Brian, Autumn, Porter and Stella. Together, we are THE STEPHEN CLAN, a family who loves the great outdoors, exploring new places, rough housing, dinners out, and discovering God's fingerprints on our daily lives.
